The Dynamics of Art Anatomy video series mimics the curriculum I teach in my classroom, and makes learning to draw the human form easy for students of any age or experience.  The series breaks down the human form into manageable lessons, providing step by step techniques for identifying the shapes of bony landmarks and muscle mass, as well as their general measurements and proportions, in order to make drawing human the human form easy to understand, and easier to apply to paper.

I guarantee, with a little time and practice, once you have mastered these lessons not only will have your own renewed passion for art, but will find creating realistic portraits and figures to be simpler than you could have possibly imagined.

There is a common misconception when it comes to aspiring artists.... that you're either born with talent or you're not.

This is absolutely untrue. With learning any new skill, it is very important to have a basic understanding of its foundations in order to be able to excel in the learning process.

This is especially true of people interested in learning how to draw. As a Ph.D. professor of life drawing and art anatomy for over 15 years, I have heard time and time again from my from students how they believe they lack the talent to take a college level art course.

However, on the very first day of class when I lecture about the most basic fundamentals of the human form, how we all can be broken down into easy shapes, proportions and measurements...
I can almost always see a new found passion for their artwork within them.

All too often, people pursuing an interest will stop out of frustration, saying they just didn't have that "natural ability" to be proficient at it, when really they just didn't have fundamental information available to them to become proficient. Information that can be easily learned by anyone.
